Terms of Service
Short and plain, because a parent should be able to read them. By creating a Zupzi account you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Who can hold an account
You must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of every child you add. The account is yours; child profiles exist only inside it and are managed by you. Children do not agree to these terms — you do, on their behalf.
What Zupzi is
Zupzi is a family app: you create missions, your child completes them, earns Stars and spends them on rewards you set up; she can play small games and talk to Zuzi, a voice companion. Some games come built in; the others are downloaded only after you unlock them. Zupzi is free, and each family can have up to 2 children and 10 minutes of Zuzi a month, shared by the whole family rather than counted per child. We hand out invitation codes, free of charge, to a small group of families who help us test Zupzi; a code extends those limits to 5 children and 20 minutes, shared the same way. Invitation codes are single-use and cannot be bought, sold or transferred.
Money
The app never asks for money and never shows a price. There is nothing to buy in Zupzi — not in the app and not on our website.
Stars and rewards inside Zupzi have no cash value, cannot be bought with money and cannot be exchanged for it. Real-world rewards are agreed and delivered between you and your child; Zupzi takes no part in them.
Zuzi
Zuzi is software that talks. She is guided to behave like a kind tutor and to steer away from topics a child should not hear, but she can be wrong, misunderstand, or say something you would not have said. That is why every conversation is e-mailed to you in full, why you can set a daily limit down to zero, and why every conversation can be reported from the app. Zuzi is not a teacher, a doctor or a substitute for a grown-up, and she does not give advice you should act on.
Your responsibilities
- Keep your sign-in to yourself, and keep a child’s PIN between you and that child.
- Only add children you are responsible for, and give accurate information about them.
- Pair only devices your family controls, and turn off any device you no longer trust.
- Do not try to break into other families’ data, overload our servers or misuse Zuzi.
- Photos you and your child upload must be yours to share with us.
Ending things
You can delete the whole family account at any time in Settings (Delete family account). It removes your children, their missions, Stars, rewards, photos and your login, and it cannot be undone. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts a child or the service at risk; if we do, we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
Availability and liability
We work to keep Zupzi running, but it is provided “as is”: things can go down, Zuzi can be asleep, and features can change or be retired. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for anything that happens between a parent and a child around a mission, a Star or a reward. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under the law where you live.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app or by e-mail before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Zupzi after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, delete the account.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, where Zupzi is operated. If you live in Brazil, Brazilian law and the consumer protections of the Código de Defesa do Consumidor also apply to you, and nothing here takes them away. Wherever you live, you keep the consumer rights the law gives you. Questions first, always: support@zupzi.io.
